Project Site Restart Program and COVID-19 Virus Exposure Prevention Plan

The intention of this program is to act as a precautionary guide in order to reduce exposures and the spread of COVID-19 before returning to project sites AND during construction work activities.

COVID-19如何传播?

Although the pandemic possibly originated from humans exposed to infected animals, SARS- CoV-2—like other coronaviruses—spreads between people and cause COVID-19. 疾控中心现在承认, t在这里 is no evidence that companion animals, 包括宠物, can spread COVID-19 to people or th在y might be a source of infection. 根据疾控中心的说法, person-to-person transmission occurs during close (within 6 feet) contact with a person with COVID-19, primarily from respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs or sneezes. 这些水滴, 特别是当雾化, 可以放在嘴里吗, 鼻子, 或眼睛 of nearby people or be inhaled into the lungs. Airborne transmission from person-to-person over long distances (including as a result of evaporating droplets that leave behind infectious particles known as droplet nuclei) is believed to be unlikely. People can also become infected with COVID-19 by touching surfaces or objects contaminated with the virus, 然后摸他们的嘴, 鼻子, 或眼睛. Current evidence suggests th在 virus may remain viable for hours to days on a variety of surfaces.

风险敞口

According to OSHA, construction workers are considered to be at medium exposure risk. Medium exposure risk would be classified under jobs that require frequent close contact with people who may be infected, but who are not known to have or suspected of having COVID-19. 工作ers in this category include those who may have been in contact with the general public and/or work in highly populated work environments.

然而, 其他因素, such as conditions in communities w在这里 员工 live and work, their activities outside of work (including travel to COVID-19-affected areas), 以及个人健康状况, may also affect workers' risk of receiving COVID-19 and/or developing complications from the illness.
